Kathryn Helen Parker Dowling, 89 of Skaneateles passed away on Tuesday, February 28th at Auburn Nursing Home. She was the loving daughter of James F. & Margaret Armstrong Parker. Kathryn attended Holy Family School of Auburn and was a graduate of Union Springs Central Schools in 1945. In 1949 she was a graduate of Auburn City Hospital as a registered nurse. She was a member of Holy Family Church in Auburn and St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Skaneateles. She took great pride of the NYS Nurses Association and the Farm Bureau. She is predeceased by her husband F. George Dowling in February 2016. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a graveside service on Friday, April 21st at 10:30am in Lake View Cemetery, Skaneateles. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Skaneateles Historical Society or the Skaneateles Library.

Lorraine (Lyon) Morris passed from this life on February 25, 2017 after a long series of illnesses. Lorraine was born September 17, 1938 to Robert A. and Edith (Morris) Lyon in Holbrook, NY. Lorraine was a long-time resident of Syracuse and Elbridge, NY. Lorraine retired from the Syracuse Public Library System and was a past president of CSEA Local 834. Lorraine is survived by William Quirk, her companion of 34 years. They have been avid members of the JAYCO Camping Club. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Young; her children Karen (Morris) Laskowsky, Gail (Morris) D’Alessandro, and Robert R. Morris, Jr.; and her grandchildren Katrina Laskowsky, Kurt Laskowsky, Kim D’Alessandro and Jenna D’Alessandro. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert F. Lyon. Calling hours will be held on Thursday March 2 from 4-7 PM at the Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles. Lorraine’s funeral service will be on Friday March 3 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Her final resting place will be the Lakeview Cemetery.

Shirley was born October 30, 1925 in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of Glenn and Mary Fehlmann Leader. She graduated from Skaneateles High School and the Auburn City Hospital School of Nursing. Shirley worked as a Registered Nurse at various facilities, including Auburn Memorial Hospital.
In retirement Shirley enjoyed volunteering, playing golf, bowling, gardening, nature and cheering for the New York Mets and the Syracuse University basketball teams. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Glenn, Donald, Bruce and Warren Leader and a sister Virginia Leader. She is survived by her daughter Carol Weldon of Arlington, Virginia, her sister Mary L. Hoxie of Marietta, NY, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 2nd at 11am with a calling hour starting at 10 at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles. Shirley will be buried in Lake View Cemetery. Born in North Rose, NY to the late Cecil and Leona Clingerman, she was a graduate of North Rose High School. She was an office manager for 29 years with Wayne County Social Services and a partner in the family business of Merrill Badman Inc. She was a member of Owasco Reformed Church, where she was an Elder and taught Sunday School. She was also a National Representative of the Reformed Church Women and did missionary trips to Appalachia and New Mexico. She was also a member of Church Women United in Auburn. She volunteered with Big Brothers and Big Sisters and at the Salvation Army. She was also a member and past matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Lyons, NY.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years Merrill, daughter Rebecca (Geoffrey Gilman) Badman, grandson Nathaniel Gilman; sisters Ruth Bartleson, Elaine Nolen and Maxine Rawden. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Richard Kise, sisters Thelma Collins and Grace Smith. Service for Hazel will be 11 a.m. Thursday February 23 at Owasco Reformed Church. Reynolds, 80 of Skaneateles, was called home to be with his Lord Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Crouse Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born in Watertown, NY and grew up in Alexandria Bay, NY. He graduated from St. Lawrence University with a BA in Business and then served in the United States Navy with an honorable discharge. In 1963, Frank married his beloved wife Marjorie Schaffer. They were married in the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Babylon, NY. Frank and his wife lived in North Babylon, NY until moving his family to Skaneateles, NY in 1974. Frank worked for 40 years in banking and retired from M&T Bank in 1999. He also had his own business, Frank Reynolds Tax and Accounting. Frank enjoyed his gardens and being with his family. Frank was a long time member of the Skaneateles Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce. He was also past treasurer of a local Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was very active over the years in his church. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Marjorie Reynolds; children, Frank (Marissa) Reynolds, of Las Vegas, Lisa (Don) Lincoln, Lori (Mark) Delasin both of Skaneateles and Matthew Reynolds of Solvay. Grandchildren, Aaron and Joshua Reynolds, Seth and Bryce Lincoln, Mark, Matthew, Grace, Ben, Sarah and Lily Delasin, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Marie Reynolds and sisters, Marie Reynolds and Nancy Newton and nephew, Thomas Newton.A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 at the First Presbyterian Church in Skaneateles. Klein, 90 of Skaneateles passed away on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at Auburn Community Hospital. Susan is pre-deceased by her loving husband Richard in 1991. Susan volunteered her time for many years at FISH and Meals on Wheels in the Skaneateles area. Susan’s hobbies were playing bridge, domino’s, bowling and gardening. She was an avid reader also. Susan is survived by a sister Betina Bassi, a daughter Elizabeth Bettis of Skaneateles, and a son Rick (Terri) Klein of Oswego. 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Before needing nursing care, Olive lived all her adult life with her brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Ivy Jones, on Melrose Road, Baptist Corners, Auburn, NY. Olive was an intelligent, quick-witted, hard-working, musical lady who loved spending time with family. She is survived by her niece (Phyllis Hart) and nephew (William Jones) and their children and grandchildren. Olive graduated from Skaneateles High School in 1943. She was a dedicated supervisor for 39 years at New York Telephone Company where she received many perfect attendance awards. One of Olive's greatest joys was praising the Lord Jesus through music. She studied voice for many years. Olive was a soloist at First Baptist Church (Auburn) and United Church of Auburn. She and her older brother Ray, a baritone soloist, often provided concerts for church congregations throughout New York and Pennsylvania. They felt called to sacrifice for this important ministry, providing beautiful songs of worship and praise. Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles, NY. Day Wellington, he was a 4th generation farmer owning and operating Wellington Farm. He had a passion for music which lead him to play for many years with the Auburn Civic Band and the Skaneateles Community Band. He was a charter member of SAVES, member of Skaneateles United Methodist Church and volunteered with the Laker Limo and FISH. He was also on the Skaneateles Planning Board and the Board of Directors for CCIC.
Lewis is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years the former Joan L. Richardson, his children, Catherine (Patrick) O’Connor, Allan (Lisa) and Jim (Tracy) Wellington. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Teresa (Conor) Chamberlin, Kerry O’Connor, Colleen (Evan) Kirkpatrick, Taylor, Austin, Benjamin, Nathaniel, William and Aleksander Wellington. He was predeceased by his son Paul in 2013 and grandson Jared in 2012. Services for Lewis will be 11 a.m. Tuesday February 7, at the Skaneateles United Methodist Church.
