Christopher (Chis) Roy, 53, died unexpectedly, August 31st. He was a lifelong resident of Skaneateles, NY. Chris was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth (Jean) Hendricks, and his father, Ernest C. Roy.
He is survived by his loving legal guardian and caregiver, Sally Bozeat of Skaneateles, a half-sister, Lisa Quinn of Troy, NY, and a cousin, Judy Doyle of Vermont.
Chris was fortunate to live in a caring community, where he was able to walk the village, and visit with neighbors and many of the local merchants. He would light up with a big smile, whenever someone would say, “Hello, Chris”. He enjoyed getting rides home, offered by friends and neighbors. He was always a gentleman, and he will be missed.
Calling hours will be held at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles, on Tuesday, September 7th, from 4 to 6pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, September 8th at 10am at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, Skaneateles.
