Kimberly Anne Gleason, 46, of Owasco died unexpectedly at her home on September 14th.  She was the loving daughter of Charlie & Lorrie Gleason Sr. of Owasco.  Kim was a graduate of Skaneateles High School and the Cayuga Community College Nursing School.    Her love for people made her a wonderful Registered Nurse.  She worked in many places over the years but especially enjoyed the time that she spent caring for the elderly at Mercy Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Kim loved her family more than anything else.  She was very proud of the fact that her two sons chose to serve our country by joining the Military and identified herself often as both a ”Marine-Mom” and an “Army-Mom”.   Kim’s favorite title, however, was “Memaw”.  She adored her two grandchildren and they adored her.  Memaw was always there for her grand-babies and loved every single second she spent with them.
Kim was a communicant of the Owasco Reformed Church and found great comfort in her faith.
Kim is survived by, in addition to her parents, her sons, Mark Cornelius (Leeann) and Matthew Cornelius (Shannen Woodruff), a sister, Tammy McIntyre (Joe), a brother, Charles Gleason Jr., her grandchildren, Camilla Cornelius and Kenneth Clark-Cornelius, her nephews and nieces, Joey & Josh McIntyre, Cody & Annie Gleason, a life-long friend Patti Livingston and the father of her children (and life-long friend),
Frederick E. Cornelius.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 19th at 11am at Owasco Reformed Church. Calling hours will be held on Sunday Sept. 18th from 3 to 7pm at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles.
It is requested that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Owasco Volunteer Fire Department, Station 2.
