Anthony J. Lombardo, Jr, aka “Chip,” 58 of Niskayuna, NY, and recently Canandaigua, NY, passed away suddenly at Strong Memorial Hospital.
There are no words to summarize Chip’s life except to say that he was a beautifully unique person who loved his family with his whole heart. Chip worked hard in his businesses and strived to help young entrepreneurs grown their businesses.
Chip was a devoted husband to his wife, Karen (Candida) Lombardo. Rarely did you find one of them without the other. Amelia and Jack now carry his love, soul, and ambition as they begin to build their own lives. A little rescued bulldog named Miss Tillie stole his heart and mourns him every day.
His nieces and nephews, Jenna Simon, Lexi Simon, Kolby Simon, Victoria Candida, and Anabella Candida, loved his pizza and spending time with him in the kitchen.
He is predeceased by his brother, John Lombardo, his father, Anthony J. Lombardo, and his two cousins Peter M. Baichi and David J. Baichi. Chip is survived by his mother Sandra (Boyden) Lombardo, his sister Tracey Simon (Mark), his aunt Mary Lou Baichi (Peter), and his two cousins Matthew and Derek Baichi.
A celebration gathering of friends and family will be announced and will take place in the Niskayuna, NY area.
The family requests in place of flowers and cards that friends and family perform acts of kindness in Chip’s name. Do something good for people and your community. Chip gave with his heart and spirit. We now need to carry on this commitment in his absence.
Special love to the team in the Cardiac ICU and Strong Memorial in Rochester, NY. The private gifts of time you gave us with Chip cannot be described. He donated his organs, and others have lived. Please be an organ donor.
