Susan C. Klein, 90 of Skaneateles passed away on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at Auburn Community Hospital. Susan is pre-deceased by her loving husband Richard in 1991. Susan volunteered her time for many years at FISH and Meals on Wheels in the Skaneateles area. Susan’s hobbies were playing bridge, domino’s, bowling and gardening. She was an avid reader also. Susan is survived by a sister Betina Bassi, a daughter Elizabeth Bettis of Skaneateles, and a son Rick (Terri) Klein of Oswego. 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Services are private, she will be buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles. Contributions can be made to the Skaneateles Library Association 49 East Genesee Street, Skaneateles.

I was so sorry to hear that your Mom passed away. She was an amazing lady with a beautiful smile. Both your parents were such a wonderful part of my childhood. I know she will be truely missed.

I have such warm memories of my Aunt Sue and all the fun we had at the Klein home. I remember sitting on her washing machine during the spin cycle, so it wouldn't "walk" its way across the floor, picking white and red cherries for cherry pie, playing with all the amazing toy samples Uncle Dick would share with us, and most of all I remember the love I felt whenever I climbed the stairs and entered that house. Many of my fondest childhood memories came from Sue and her wonderful sense of humor and delight at life.

So many memories, she was such a great friend to our family. Our childhood was made greater by her presence, as was your Dad's. She certainly made Mom's life easier when she was at Town Hall. So sorry to learn she is gone <3

It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love; and when it happens , the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your love one can be most difficult to bear. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your love one is up in heaven. The bible, holds a out a much different hope. At Job 14:14,15, it says that the God of comfort Jehovah, yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them alive on earth. I really hope this thought brings family and friends comfort.
