Vivian H. Slater, 96 of Jordan passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 with her loved ones by her side. A native of Cooperstown, NY born on September 12, 1921 by the late George and Zula Olmstead. Vivian was a woman of strength and wisdom. Her age never stopped her from enjoying life. Her memory was extraordinary. She never forgot anyone’s birthday. Vivian was the rock of our family. Along with the deep love for each and every one of us, she was a lover of animals. She had a huge heart of gold. She was always there for everyone, and never wanted anything in return. Vivian had a deep passion for baking and crocheting. Family members often got phone calls telling them not to cook dinner because she had tried a new recipe and made a dish for them. Let’s just say they were always delicious. Hands down best cook ever. Vivian enjoyed her daily lunches at Burger King, along with her Friday night auctions with friends. We could go on forever with stories of how wonderful she was, and the love she gave. Our rock will be missed, but will forever live on inside each and every one of her pebbles. Vivian is predeceased by her loving husband Daniel Slater in 1995, Kent Wheeler and Esther Slater. Surviving are her 9 children Darlene (Walt) Smith of Florida, Daryle (Donna) Pickering of Skaneateles Falls, Darwin Pickering of Jordan, Raymond Pickering of Conquest, Donna (Bruce) Seamans of Jordan, Dennis Pickering of Memphis, Donald (Tina) Slater of Kentucky, Debby (Link) Green of Auburn and Duane (Colleen) Slater of Jordan. She is also survived by her 113, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren with 2 more grandchildren on the way. Vivian was also survived by her step-children Martha Wheeler of Camillus and Raymond Slater of Skaneateles. Several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday September 27th from 11am to 1pm with a service to follow at 1pm at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles. Vivian will be buried in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Outreach Program of Skaneateles at 819 West Genesee Street Road
Skaneateles, NY 13152. To send condolences visit: robertdgrayfuneralhome.com.

Grandma has always been a wonderful woman! She taught me canning, including jelly making; also gardening. She was a hard working woman who lived to share family history. She was just an astounding woman all round, and I shall remember her forever...love to all of her children and family.

It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love; and when it happens , the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your love one can be most difficult to bear. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your love one is up in heaven. The bible, holds a out a much different hope. At Job 14:14,15, it says that the God of comfort Jehovah, yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them alive on earth. I really hope this thought brings family and friends comfort.

We at the the auction will miss seeing Vivian (#29) every Friday. Every year we wished a Happy Birthday and gained inspiration for her respect and admiration of her growing family. She was always so proud to speak of how many grandchildren she had. She will be greatly missed. Sorry for your loss. Alex

My ex-husband and I had always managed to stay friendly after our divorce in February 2017. But I always wanted to get back together with him, All it took was a visit to this spell casters website last December, because my dream was to start a new year with my husband, and live happily with him.. This spell caster requested a specific love spell for me and my husband, and I accepted it. And this powerful spell caster began to work his magic. And 48 hours after this spell caster worked for me, my husband called me back for us to be together again, and he was remorseful for all his wrong deeds. My spell is working because guess what: My “husband” is back and we are making preparations on how to go to court and withdraw our divorce papers ASAP. This is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you Dr Emu for your powerful spells. Words are not enough.
