Virginia Muggleton

    Virginia Muggleton of Skaneateles peacefully passed in her home October 19th. Virginia was born October 26, 1920 in Venice, New York, daughter of Evelyn and Raymond Young of Poplar Ridge, New York.
    Virginia and her late husband Robert opened their photography studio on Williams Street in Auburn in1951 and later established the Muggleton Art Gallery at the same address. Virginia resided in Auburn with her husband Robert, until their retirement in 1979, when they moved to Skaneateles. They were among the original patrons of the Skaneateles Festival and wintered in Fort Myers and Key West, Florida.
    Virginia was predeceased by her parents E. Raymond and Evelyn Gilling Young, Infant Sister Caroline Ruth, Sister Jean Young Vorreuter, Brother Ernest (Bud) Young, Foster Brother Kenneth Pople and Husband, Robert E. Muggleton.
   Virginia is survived by 3 Nieces and 6 Nephews.
There will be no calling hours, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

We sorry for your loss. We met Mrs. Muggleton in the Spring of 1981 at the Muggleton gift store located at the Sherwood House, in Skaneateles. Mrs. Muggleton assist us in selecting and designing my engagement/ wedding ring. She was the first to know of our upcoming 1982 event and so thrilled for us. To this day, I still receive compliments on my ring! I always think of Mrs. Muggleton when ever I look at my ring. Barbara and Charles Hunt

Ginny and my mother Gladys Menefee Bingley met in Auburn during WWII when my father was at the base near there. They discovered they were born only 5 days apart. They became fast friends and stayed in touch despite the distance between New York and Washington DC where we lived. Gladys passed in 1994 at the age of 70. Ginny was a wonderful friend and good communicator. My sister Barbara stayed in touch and even visited her as recently as perhaps 5 years ago.
