Theodora “Teddy” Annette Huxford passed away on April 8th, 2018. Teddy was the daughter of G. Roswell and Dorothea Weeks (Whitbeck) and was born on Septem-ber 11, 1925, in Auburn, New York. Teddy graduated from Skaneateles High School, attended Syracuse University and worked at her father’s law firm, Weeks & Weeks, in Skaneateles. On October 31, 1946, Teddy married her best friend, J. David Huxford.
Teddy will long be remembered for her dedicated service to the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 239, where she was awarded a lifetime membership. Teddy took great pride in organizing the annual Veteran’s poppy sale for over 30 years. As a lifelong resident of Skaneateles, Teddy was known by many as she visited her favorite local haunts on a regular basis. Whether out on the town for her daily decaf or cranberry, she was quick to share her jokes and quips with passersby and friends, alike. She was a master at crossword puzzles and received national recognition in magazines for solving various word competitions. One of Teddy’s true joys was sharing her knowledge of the history of the village and contributing many outstanding photographs to The Creamery.
Teddy was predeceased by her beloved husband, J. David, her infant son, Phillip David Huxford, and her sister, Marion Weeks Parks.
Surviving are her daughters, Annette Brown, Francine H. Fowler (Bill), MaryBeth Warburton (Bill) and son, Jim Huxford. She is also survived by her grandchildren, William Warburton, David Warburton, Daniel Jones, Josh Thomas, Nicole Stack and Bridget Huxford; as well as six great-grandchildren, Rose, Vivian, William, Caris, Hazel and Lilah.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 13th from 4 to 6pm at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles. Funeral service will be on Saturday, April 14th at 9am at the funeral home. Teddy will be buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Teddy’s name can be made to the American Legion Post 239, P.O. box 24 Skaneateles, NY 13152.

I am so sorry to hear of Teddy's passing. I've known her my whole life and she was always, always a kind, funny and smart woman. She was a great connection to our mother and I always loved her telling stories of herself and my mom in their youth. I offer the whole extended Huxford family our condolences.

I,am sorry to hear of your loss my prayers are with you an family you can find comfort in what the bible really say,s about the dead and hope that you find the comfort in what it say,s your love one is sleeping waiting for a resurrection this is at Acts CH 24:15 . the bible calls Jeh God the source of life he gives life not take any ones life that,s why at John CH 5:28&29 an when Martha the sister of Las,arus told her that she would see her brother again here at John Ch11 39-44 he had been dead 4 days a d there are at least three reasons to believe what the bible says. God is the one who gives life not take someone's live but to all to living creatures to live. So he is certainly capable of restoring life to someone who has died he is the creator of live that,s why the bible calls Jeh God the source of life at PS 36:9& CH 17:24&25 he has resurrected humans in the past and is eager to do so again Jeh God hates death he views it as an enemy to us that are living. He will conquer that enemy once an forever by means of that resurrection you will be able to see them live on earth again. I hope that this brings you the comfort in what the. Bible has to say on this

Teddy was a staple of the Village growing up - and she was my mother's best friend. I remember catching up with Teddy each time I came home from college or vacation. She would always have a funny comment about what was going on, that made you laugh! She will be missed. Thoughts and prayers for her family and friends.

Dear Bridget and Family,
Teddy was a Laker Limo favorite passenger of mine. We became bonded on how much we both loved you, the school district and Skaneateles. I was so sad to read of your loss of this remarkable woman. Before "It takes a village..." became a cliche, Teddy understood community as an extension of family. She was truly visionary in her mission of sharing with others the history of this special place she called her hometown. Please accept my most sincere condolences. Love, Gail

Sad to see her and David gone. You could be having a down day stop in to the legion and there she was. David at the bar with the guys. Her at a table a Bowl of popcorn and a word puzzle. We would talk and troubles faded away. The two of them part of the great generation I so respect.

Teddy had a heart of gold. With each visit back to my beloved Skaneateles I would see her and get updates on all I missed year in and year out. Will truly miss her great brain sense of humor and love for life. Her gifts to the community were too many to count. A beautiful soul.

I am very sorry to learn of Mrs. Huxford's passing. She was a childhood friend of my mother's, and they remained close friends for life. Growing up, she always greeted us with friendliness, humor and good cheer. In later years, long after my mother had died, I often seemed to run into "Teddy" when visiting Skaneateles. She always had a story to tell me about my mother, and often a picture. Thank you, Teddy. My condolences to the Huxford family.

I feel we have lost a part of Skaneateles with Teddy's passing..I went to school with Nan from kindergarten until 12th grade and have known the whole family for almost my entire life.. I always looked forward to seeing her on her daily strolls and talking with her about whatever was on her mind and she was quick to tell you what was on her mind. I have nothing but good memories and smiles when I think of her. Sending much love to all the family.

To The Entire Huxford Family....I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. Although our family moved in the late 60’s, I will forever remember “Mrs. Huxford” (As our parent’s insisted, NO First Names,) working the Crossword (Times) Puzzles, especially with my mother. I did not realize, what an impact that one thing, would do for me....Each Sunday, my mother would get the puzzle and my mind immediately goes to Teddy. How I wished my mother would call her and ask for an answer or two (as it was doubtful any of her kids would know a single one of the answers!)...but I regret, it was not to be. So, for the next 50 or so years, even now, when I see The NY Times, I think of Teddy. “She was the friend, everyone wishes/wished they could have”
My sincerest sorrow over the loss of Mrs. Huxford “Teddy”. Rest In Peace, Dorcie “Barry” Storms.

It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love; and when it happens , the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your love one can be most difficult to bear. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your love one is up in heaven. The bible, holds a out a much different hope. At Job 14:14,15, it says that the God of comfort Jehovah, yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them alive on earth. I really hope this though

Grew up right around the corner from Mr. and Mrs. Huxford and always felt at home at their kitchen table. Talked sports. old cars & the Marine Corps w/ Mr. Huxford and everything else w/ Mrs. Huxford, usually over hot chocolate. Fell in love w/ Nan and she was always so much like her Mom. Would share coffee and stories thru the years w/ Mrs. Huxford when I returned home for a visit....the best. Rest in peace Mrs. Huxford, you are now home again!

I TESTED POSITIVE FOR HSV-2 A FEW MONTHS AGO.
At first, Yes, I was devastated thinking I have an incurable STD for life. After doing hours of research I quickly realized genital herpes is a filthy parasite that just likes to hide in your body. Yes, There’s no “medical cure” but that doesn’t mean your body can’t get rid of it. I literally flush it out of my system with the help of Doctor Azuka, A natural herbal medicine which I ordered after doing some research. And now I’m HSV-2 negative, I never believed it until my doctor finally gave me the test results and behold I was HSV-2 free. I’m so glad that I found you, Doctor Azuka. Thanks so much for your goodness I’m grateful. You can also get your help from him through his

My ex-husband and I had always managed to stay friendly after our divorce in February 2017. But I always wanted to get back together with him, All it took was a visit to this spell casters website last December, because my dream was to start a new year with my husband, and live happily with him.. This spell caster requested a specific love spell for me and my husband, and I accepted it. And this powerful spell caster began to work his magic. And 48 hours after this spell caster worked for me, my husband called me back for us to be together again, and he was remorseful for all his wrong deeds. My spell is working because guess what: My “husband” is back and we are making preparations on how to go to court and withdraw our divorce papers ASAP. This is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you Dr Emu for your powerful spells. Words are not enough.
