Olive Murphy Goodwin, 91, of Lynchburg, VA died peacefully in her residence at Liberty Ridge Assisted Living Community on November 20, 2018.  Olive was born in her home on Foster Road in Elbridge to Thomas and Lillian Borte Murphy on January 24, 1927.  She graduated from Marcellus High School in 1946 and Rochester Institute of Technology with an associate degree in Retailing in 1949.  She and her late husband (11/25/2011), David, met at the Camillus Cutlery where Olive worked for a summer and David was a tool and die maker.  The couple married in Cleveland, OH on July 3, 1953.  Prior to having children, Olive worked in retail and credit for Sears and Roebuck.  The couple’s children, Sandra Denice and Kirk David, were born in Cleveland.  The family moved to Rochester, NY to be closer to family in 1962.  David’s employer, General Motors, transferred him to Dayton, OH in 1966.  Olive quickly grew to love Dayton as she embraced and actively supported her children’s education in the Kettering Public schools and became a friend to many at Far Hills Baptist Church in Kettering.  Olive loved children, and often opened her heart and home to her children’s friends.  Actively involved in children’s and prayer ministry first at Far Hills Baptist Church and then First Baptist Church of Kettering, her life demonstrated her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Olive lived close to her daughter for the last decade of her life, first in MD and since 2014 in VA.
Olive was preceded in death by her son Kirk (1990), her husband David (2011), all her siblings - Mary (Ed) Kinney, Marguerite (Edson) Gillette, Alice, Robert, and Frances (Evelyn), and nephew Michael Murphy.  She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Stephen), granddaughter Erin, and sister-in-law Shirley (Robert) Murphy, many nieces and nephews – including great, great, great nieces, and cousins.
Olive loved people well as she lived out her Christian faith.  She blessed her family, friends, and her many care-givers with her gift of encouragement.  One care-giver shared, “I never left Olive’s presence without feeling better about myself”.  She was a courageous, hard worker achieving dreams for herself and encouraging her children to achieve theirs.  Olive also loved dogs, particularly the family’s miniature dachshund, and working outside developing and maintaining their family’s large property.
Calling hours begin at 2pm on December 2 at Robert D. Gray funeral home in Skaneateles, NY.  Rev. Andrew Kilpatrick, Jr. will be the officiant for the 3pm Funeral service, and the December 3, 11 am interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Skaneateles.  A memorial service led by Rev. Wayne Wingfield will be held in the Pratt Chapel at Liberty Ridge in Lynchburg, VA on December 6 at 3pm.

You are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers in the loss of your Mom. She was such a sweet person and we will always have fond memories of her. We pray that God will bless you with strength and the peace that surpasses all understanding as you rest in Him knowing that, even though your Mom has gone home to be with Jesus, she will always be a part of your life.

With Love,
Rob and Linda

You and your family have my deepest sympathy for your loss.what the bible says the dead is that there is going to be a resurrection this means a standing up again Acts Ch 24:15 brings this out. .but can we really believe what the bible says? .yes for at least three reasons . .one, God is the Creator of life two,God has resurrected humans in the past. . ,and three J eh God is eager to do it again. God hates death he views of as an enemy Cor 15:26 so by means of the Resurrection he yearns to bring back those who are in his .Emory and to see them live on earth not in heaven again. May you find comfort in what God says that he is going to do in the coming new world.

My condolences to the family of Olga Mildred Hluchy. My mother in law Mildred Edna Hluchy just passed away last Monday Nov. 26, 2018. She was preceded in death br her husband Paul Hluchy Jr. My mother and father in law moved to Hagerstown, MD from NJ. I do not remember the town. I am wondering if we are related. Hluchy is a very unusual name.
Your family has my deep sympathy, I cannot know what you are going through because every situation is different, but I do understand the pain of loosing a loved one.
Secure in Jesus,
Sabrina J. Hluchy

You and your family have my deepest sympathy for your loss .but what does the bible say about life and death?the bible sets things straight in the Genesis account of creation that the penalty for sin is death . J eh God did not created humans to die but to live even forever the bible says that death has spread to all men. ,and does not go on living J eh God says that he form man out of dust from the ground and that the man became a living person, the bible makes clear that humans are not created as individuals with a soul that is immortal but each individual is a living person.so you may then where are the dead? ,simply put the bible says that the dead are in the grave awaiting the Resurrection Jhon ch5:28&29, this is a standing up again.Ecclesiastes 9:5 that the dead know nothing at all in his teaching Jesus likened death to a deep sleep. ,by means of the Resurrection Je h God will do away with death. ,forever 1Cor 15:26 and Rev 21:4 the teaching of the immortal of the soul is not supported by the bible.his original purpose was for his human creation to live forever right on earth as his obedient children the Islamist says that the righteous will possess the earth and live forever upon it this is at Ps ch37:29 so we can have full confidence that what the bible is worthy of our trust. ,may you and your family find comfort in God,s word and love.

We are so sorry for your loss. I teach a Sunday School class at First Baptist Kettering, and we fondly remember Olive and David. We had so much fun as a class, and they were the center of attention. May God bless all of you. Our thoughts and prayers! Jim, Minister of Seniors at FBK.

Dear Sandy and dear family and friends,
I am very saddened today to be reading this page on the internet. You are indeed in my thoughts and my prayers at this time of the earthly loss of dear Olive. She was a treasured friend of my mom and our entire family. Both she and Dave always made each one of us feel like a part of her family. We enjoyed their friendship through many years. There were happy times and sad times shared. Olive was generous, kind and a lovely Christian example to me and to many other young women who had the good fortune to know her. She made fabulous pies and was an amazing woman in all the important ways. I love this beautiful picture of her you have chosen to post. I love the memory of times she and my mom spent together. 1 Peter 1:3-6

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Dear Goodwin Family,
I’m so sorry for your loss, never forget God cares for you. The scriptures bring out that God will wipe out all tears from our eyes and eliminate death forever . Isaiah 25:8 says “He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” We can look forward to a time when we can see our loved ones again here on earth.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Olive. Please keep in mind the beautiful hope God gives us for the future in Revelation 21:4, which speaks of a time when God will wipe out all death, suffering, mourning, outcry and pain forever. May the God of all comfort help you to endure during this difficult time of loss, remember to “throw your burden on Jehovah, and he will sustain you,” (Psalms 55:22).

I TESTED POSITIVE FOR HSV-2 A FEW MONTHS AGO.
At first, Yes, I was devastated thinking I have an incurable STD for life. After doing hours of research I quickly realized genital herpes is a filthy parasite that just likes to hide in your body. Yes, There’s no “medical cure” but that doesn’t mean your body can’t get rid of it. I literally flush it out of my system with the help of Doctor Azuka, A natural herbal medicine which I ordered after doing some research. And now I’m HSV-2 negative, I never believed it until my doctor finally gave me the test results and behold I was HSV-2 free. I’m so glad that I found you, Doctor Azuka. Thanks so much for your goodness I’m grateful. You can also get your help from him through his

My ex-husband and I had always managed to stay friendly after our divorce in February 2017. But I always wanted to get back together with him, All it took was a visit to this spell casters website last December, because my dream was to start a new year with my husband, and live happily with him.. This spell caster requested a specific love spell for me and my husband, and I accepted it. And this powerful spell caster began to work his magic. And 48 hours after this spell caster worked for me, my husband called me back for us to be together again, and he was remorseful for all his wrong deeds. My spell is working because guess what: My “husband” is back and we are making preparations on how to go to court and withdraw our divorce papers ASAP. This is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you Dr Emu for your powerful spells. Words are not enough.
