Janet D. Jurgensen of Skaneateles passed away June 1, 2020. Janet was born October 19, 1932 in Andes, New York to the late Donald and Elizabeth Dickson. Jan grew up in the heart of the Catskills and shared her love of skiing with her family. She was a graduate of SUNY Fredonia and taught elementary school for many years.
She was fortunate to have traveled the world with her loving husband. She lived in Skaneateles for over 60 years and was an active volunteer in the community. Jan was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church serving as both an Elder and a Deacon. She loved being a member of the church Bell Choir! Jan was a founding member of the Red Hats Society, an avid domino and bridge player. She enjoyed walking with her friends and watching SU Basketball! And especially loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She is survived by her loving husband Ralph of almost 60 years. Children; Karin (Richard) Morabito, Kurt (Marianne) Jurgensen, and grandchildren, Nicole, Colby, Jayna and Gunnar. She is also survived by her brother John (Carol) Dickson.

Due to the current situation, a service will be planned for family and friends to celebrate her life at the Skaneateles First Presbyterian Church when allowed. Special thanks to the caring staff at Auburn Memorial Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made on her behalf to Meals on Wheels. To leave a condolence please visit www.robertdgrayfuneralhome.com

Jan was one of my favorite people, she was always happy and interested in hearing what I was doing and how our daughters were. I admired her and will miss seeing her. I send my love and prayers to Ralph and the family during this difficult time. Claudia Lambdin

I want to thank Dr Emu a very powerful spell caster who help me to bring my husband back to me, few month ago i have a serious problem with my husband, to the extend that he left the house, and he started dating another woman and he stayed with the woman, i tried all i can to bring him back, but all my effort was useless until the day my friend came to my house and i told her every thing that had happened between me and my husband, then she told me of a powerful spell caster who help her when she was in the same problem I then contact Dr Emu and told him every thing and he told me not to worry my self again that my husband will come back to me after he has cast a spell on him, i thought it was a joke, after he had finish casting the spell, he told me that he had just finish casting the spell, to my greatest surprise within 48 hours, my husband really came back begging me to forgive him, if you need his help you can contact him with via email: Emutemple@gmail.com or add him up on his whatsapp +2347012841542 is willing to help any body that need his help.

I am so very sorry to learn about the loss of Mrs. Jurgensen. She was a kind, gentle and happy person. I always enjoyed spending time with her. She always seemed interested in what everyone was doing, and made you feel like you were the only person in the world that mattered at that moment. My comfort is knowing my Mom just added another wonderful bridge/domino player to her table. My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Jurgensen family.

I was fortunate enough to know Janet although I did not see her often. She and Ralph were/are wonderful friends to my mother and father. Although my parents live in England, their friendship was strong and they had some lovely holidays together - in the UK and also in France. They had a lot of laughs!
I loved Skaneateles and Janet made me very welcome when I visited. I send my love to your family and I give thanks for Janet's friendship with my family.

I knew Jan thru her sub teaching at J-E elementary. I share with what others have said about Jan always being interested in what I and my family were doing. She was a lovely person, one who made the world a better place. She will be missed! My sympathies to her family.

Dear Ralph, I was so very sorry to hear of Jans passing. It seems so long ago that I’ve talked to you two and know we have nice memories of our old Friends the Fishers. It seems so sad to hear of her passing as I always enjoyed our times visiting and wish I had seen her more often. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
