Helen B. Ordon

Helen B. Ordon 80, of Skaneateles passed away peacefully at Van Duyn Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation on March 29, 2016 due to complications of Alzheimer’s. Helen was born on May 15, 1935 in Auburn, NY to the late Joseph and Anne Rogalski. She graduated from Central High School, Auburn Community College and Upstate Medical College. She worked for Cayuga County Lab, Retired from Community General Hospital, then returned to work as a teacher’s aide at Drivers Middle School in Marcellus. She was an active member of St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, the Skaneateles Garden Club and the American Society of
Clinical Pathologists.
Helen is survived by her husband of 39 years Thomas; children Gregg Ordon of Syracuse and Christina Ordon of Skaneateles; grandchildren April Ordon, Daniel and Wesley Templeton and sister Mary Czechowicz of Arizona. She was also predeceased by her siblings John Rogalski and Stella Fabin.
There will be a Mass of Christian burial on Friday April 1st at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church at 10am. Calling hours will be held on Thursday March 31st from 4 to 7pm at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home Skaneateles. Helen will be buried in
St. Mary’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Skaneateles Garden Club.

Hello family of this wonderful family. I send my condolences to your dear family. I would just like to share a few words of encouragement with you that is from the Bible. At Acts 24:15, it states, "There is going to be a resurrection." This scriptures tells of something wonderful. We can see our loved ones again. Why can we believe this? I would like to point you to another scripture found at Acts 17:24, "The God who made the world and all the things in it, being, as he is, Lord of heaven and earth." This wonder God that this scripture is referring to is Jehovah God, who is the God of all comfort, who hates death, and promises to bring back our dear loved ones. I hope you take these scriptures as a source of encouragement in this trying times. Get well. :-)

My most sincerest condolences to your family. There is such a wonderful hope found at Acts 24:15 in regards to a resurrection. Also, you can have a hope of seeing your loved one again. A scripture that could give you hope about this promise can be found at John 5:28,29. My father (Bill Lynch) and I were very saddened to learn that Helen had passed. My father truly enjoyed all the time he and my mother, Pauline (recently deceased) spent with Helen and Tom at Van Duyn. Especially the times they were outside on the patio; where the women enjoyed the sun, and also in the library during inclement weather. RIP Mrs Ordon, we hope you and my mother will be keeping watch over us from Heaven.

Condolences to your family. May you receive comfort from the word of God during this time of loss. Acts 24:15 says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous. Can you imagine the joy of Martha and Mary when Jesus raised Lazarus back to life?—Read John 11:21-24, 38-44. Revelation 21:3,4 promises that one day death, mourning, and outcry will be no more.
