Wanda A. Defendorf

Wanda A. Defendorf 90 of Blasdell, NY formally from Skaneateles, NY, found her way to heaven on Sunday, May 14th. Born on January 18, 1927. She was caring, thoughtful, and young at heart. Her favorite activity was working in her flower gardens and reading. Wanda was one of the founders of the Owasco Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. She is pre-deceased by her loving husband Lewis in 2003, a brother and 5 sisters. Wanda is survived by her daughter Paula J. Tenz, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Thursday, May 18th from 11am to 1pm with a funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles. Wanda will be buried in Owasco Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Owasco Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary.

I'm very sorry for your loss; Wanda sounded like a lovely lady. I find great comfort in the words of Acts 24:15 where the Apostle Paul states there will be a resurrection. Our loved ones that we've lost in death will return! Until that time comes, we should lean on God like Psalm 34: 18 says that Jehovah is near the brokenhearted. He saves those crushed in spirit. That helps me to keep that hope alive and continue. I hope it brings you as much comfort as it has brought me.

Condolences to your family. May you receive comfort from the word of God during this time of loss. Acts 24:15 says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous. Can you imagine the joy of Martha and Mary when Jesus raised Lazarus back to life?—Read John 11:21-24, 38-44. Revelation 21:3,4 promises that one day death, mourning, and outcry will be no more.
