Swaneatta Jean Dove Wallace

Swaneatta Jean Dove Wallace, 81 of Skaneateles, passed away on May 1st at Auburn Community Hospital. Jean graduated in 1953 from Skaneateles Central School. She worked as a bookkeeper at Piscitell Stone and Supply in Syracuse, NY for many years.
Jean is predeceased by her loving husband Thomas in 2002. She is survived by her son Charles Wallace of Skaneateles and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 6 at St. James Episcopal Church Skaneateles at 10am. Calling hours will be held on Friday May 5th from 4 to 7pm at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles. In lieu of flowers donations in Jean’s name can be made to the Skaneateles Fire Department 77 West Genesee Street, Skaneateles, NY 13152 or to the SPCA 41 York Street, Auburn, NY 13021.

Our condolences to the family of Mrs.Mason. We had the honor of meeting Mary when she came to visit our home, were she grew up. She told tales of her days as a child and her family.. A very pleasant and down to earth Lady. We will always cherish that visit!

Condolences to your family. May you receive comfort from the word of God during this time of loss. Acts 24:15 says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous. Can you imagine the joy of Martha and Mary when Jesus raised Lazarus back to life?—Read John 11:21-24, 38-44. Revelation 21:3,4 promises that one day death, mourning, and outcry will be no more. To family and friends, very sorry for your loss. At such times it is of great comfort to know that we can "pour our hearts out" to our Creator in prayer for the comfort we need. It is also of great comfort to know that soon our dead loved ones will live again. As Our Lord Jesus Christ said in John 5:28,29 "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life...". Until such time we can turn to "the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God." (2 Corinthians 1:3,4.) Again, please accept my sincerest condolences.
