Richard “Dick” Trompeter died Friday, April 29, 2016 while in the comfort of his home and family. Dick was born in 1925 to Louise and August Trompeter in Rochester, NY, and was the youngest sibling after Lucille, Herb, Ray, Bernard and Robert.  Blessed with boundless energy, a big smile and a welcoming, engaging personality, Dick had a genuine appreciation for all types of people that he met both in his personal and professional life.  Dick developed many of his lifelong friendships first at St. Boniface Grammar School and in high school at Aquinas Institute in Rochester, and later as an enlisted Army Air Force radar mechanic for 3 years during WWII.  Upon his discharge from the Service, Dick earned a bachelor’s degree from Niagara University and subsequently began a 33 year career in the pharmaceutical industry, first in sales for Wyeth in Rochester and subsequently as a clinical researcher at Bristol Myers Squibb in Syracuse.  After moving to Skaneateles from Camillus in 1981, Dick became a very active member of St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church where he was an altar server, Eucharistic minister and, after his retirement, a cemetery groundskeeper for many years.  Dick also devoted time as a community volunteer driving the Laker Limo, washing dishes at Stella Maris, and was the “Coffee Guy” weekly at The Samaritan Center in Syracuse.  For most of his later years Dick enjoyed a daily routine of 5:30 am exercise at the Community Center followed by morning mass and then breakfast with the boys, a game of golf or yardwork.  Dick nurtured his lifelong passion for golf at the Skaneateles Country Club, regularly playing in the couples and men’s leagues, and
with the Rag Baggers group.
Dick is survived by Mary Anne his loving wife of 61 years; his children and their spouses Chris (Rosemary), Bill (Cheryl) and Ellen (Dennis) and six grandchildren who he diligently kept engaged with -- Grace, Luke and Daniel Trompeter and Emma, James and Oliver Sherry -- ,his sister Lucille, brother Bernie and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Calling hours with Dick’s family will be held on Friday, May 13, 4 pm to 7 pm, at the Robert D. Gray Funeral Home 49 Jordan Street, Skaneateles, NY.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, May 14, 10 am, at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church 81 Jordan Street, Skaneateles, NY, followed by a luncheon reception in the Parish Center.

In many years of golf together, Dick was always upbeat and cheerful, with never an unkind word about anyone or anything. He was a true gentleman, and i was honored to know him and call him a friend.

Chris and I knew Richard through the 5:30 YMCA crew. He and his sidekick Newell were the heart and soul of that group. Richard always with a chipper smile and a funny comment.A great outlook on life including being concerned about others. His social schedule rivaled any other and my guess is he will keep that up! One of the BEST! Neil and Chris Strodel

Our thoughts are with Bill, Cheryl, Grace, Luke and the entire Trompeter family. While we did not have the pleasure of meeting Dick, his character certainly was evident through Bill and his family. You are in our hearts.

I TESTED POSITIVE FOR HSV-2 A FEW MONTHS AGO.
At first, Yes, I was devastated thinking I have an incurable STD for life. After doing hours of research I quickly realized genital herpes is a filthy parasite that just likes to hide in your body. Yes, There’s no “medical cure” but that doesn’t mean your body can’t get rid of it. I literally flush it out of my system with the help of Doctor Azuka, A natural herbal medicine which I ordered after doing some research. And now I’m HSV-2 negative, I never believed it until my doctor finally gave me the test results and behold I was HSV-2 free. I’m so glad that I found you, Doctor Azuka. Thanks so much for your goodness I’m grateful. You can also get your help from him through his

My ex-husband and I had always managed to stay friendly after our divorce in February 2017. But I always wanted to get back together with him, All it took was a visit to this spell casters website last December, because my dream was to start a new year with my husband, and live happily with him.. This spell caster requested a specific love spell for me and my husband, and I accepted it. And this powerful spell caster began to work his magic. And 48 hours after this spell caster worked for me, my husband called me back for us to be together again, and he was remorseful for all his wrong deeds. My spell is working because guess what: My “husband” is back and we are making preparations on how to go to court and withdraw our divorce papers ASAP. This is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you Dr Emu for your powerful spells. Words are not enough.
