Pauline M. Szakalski, 68, of Auburn passed away on Wednesday May 30th at Upstate University Hospital. Though many received the benefit of her collection, few knew what an avid collector Pauline Szakalski was.  The second oldest of nine children, Pauline had ample opportunity from a young age to begin collecting all of the qualities she would need to become the greatest wife to her husband John, an unsurpassed mother to her children John and Joanna, and the much-deserved and unrivaled recipient of professional grandmother status with the arrivals of her grandchildren Andrew, Jack and Abigail.
Allowed to practice on her seven younger siblings, Pauline started early collecting the qualities of patience, humility, loyalty, and empathy.  She received encouragement to enhance her collection by adding an impressive willingness to take responsibility and grow her collection further by adding on greater and greater responsibility.  This allowed Pauline the chance to improve her skillset even more by contributing a readiness to sacrifice her own desires, dreams and goals for the benefit of others, a very special piece in her growing collection and one that she offered lovingly to all of those she called family.  Her collection also included super-human strength of character and trustworthiness, other pieces she doled out with regular frequency.  She possessed quite the knack for solving problems, and her wide assortment of attributes included enviable managerial skills that included talents for both project and financial management.  Similarly, no one in her family can deny the crisis management skills that were also part of her collection.  Any reference to snow in a weather forecast, and Pauline jumped into action alerting her family of pending weather crises.  Each family member benefited from her warnings, as well as from her tried-and-true crisis preparation suggestions.
Yet, no collection of the best wife, unsurpassed mother and unrivaled grandmother could be considered complete without the qualities of love and support, qualities Pauline had in spades.  Certainly, no one has ever been more supportive of or exuded more love for her family than Pauline.  Not only did she collect a caring spirit, compassion and kindness, but she taught all of these qualities and more to the ones who knew her best.  Her collection included far more than could ever be accurately conveyed here, but all who knew and loved her, knew beyond doubt that she lived her passion – loving her family – with every breath she breathed.  Wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend – Pauline, you will be missed by all who knew you.
Pauline was predeceased by her parents John and Violet Thomas.   She is survived by her husband John (AJ) Szakalski; her children, Joanna Scouten (Mark Romano) and John Szakalski (Bridget); grandchildren, Andrew Scouten, Jack Szakalski, and Abigail Szakalski; siblings, Janet Winslow, Charles Thomas, Alice Russell, Ruth Gabak, Corinne Hayes, Phillip Thomas, Raymond Thomas and Joseph Thomas; and many nieces, nephews, and other family too numerous to list but much loved by her and never forgotten.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 1st from 4 to 6pm with a service to follow at 6pm at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles. Contributions in her name can be made to the American Cancer Society. To send condolences visit: robertdgrayfuneralhome.com.

I am so sad to hear of Pauline's passing. We were classmates at SCS, Class of 1968. Pauline and I were both on the older end of big families and often chatted about that during our school days. She will be fondly remembered at our Reunion this Fall. A beautiful obituary to a beautiful person. My sympathies to her family.

It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love; and when it happens , the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your love one can be most difficult to bear. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your love one is up in heaven. The bible, holds a out a much different hope. At Job 14:14,15, it says that the God of comfort Jehovah, yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them alive on earth. I really hope this thought brings family and friends comfort.

Condolences to your family. One may think we will all be forced to confront death sooner or later. Its painful sting has caused many people to search for answers. Why did Jesus compare death to sleep? What can we learn from resurrections recorded in the Bible? Does death end it all? https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20140101/death-is-not-the-end/

I TESTED POSITIVE FOR HSV-2 A FEW MONTHS AGO.
At first, Yes, I was devastated thinking I have an incurable STD for life. After doing hours of research I quickly realized genital herpes is a filthy parasite that just likes to hide in your body. Yes, There’s no “medical cure” but that doesn’t mean your body can’t get rid of it. I literally flush it out of my system with the help of Doctor Azuka, A natural herbal medicine which I ordered after doing some research. And now I’m HSV-2 negative, I never believed it until my doctor finally gave me the test results and behold I was HSV-2 free. I’m so glad that I found you, Doctor Azuka. Thanks so much for your goodness I’m grateful. You can also get your help from him through his

My ex-husband and I had always managed to stay friendly after our divorce in February 2017. But I always wanted to get back together with him, All it took was a visit to this spell casters website last December, because my dream was to start a new year with my husband, and live happily with him.. This spell caster requested a specific love spell for me and my husband, and I accepted it. And this powerful spell caster began to work his magic. And 48 hours after this spell caster worked for me, my husband called me back for us to be together again, and he was remorseful for all his wrong deeds. My spell is working because guess what: My “husband” is back and we are making preparations on how to go to court and withdraw our divorce papers ASAP. This is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you Dr Emu for your powerful spells. Words are not enough.
