Known to her grandchildren as “Minah,” Nancy lived with her husband in Skaneateles. Everyone always looked forward to spending time with her at the lake. She was loved by so many and will be missed by even more. Her generous spirit, compassion and kind heart will be carried on in the lives that she touched.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert Schattner, their children, Lynn (Anthony) Marinelli, Richard (Mary) Purcell, Steven Purcell, John (Helen) Purcell, Thomas (Joanne) Purcell, Susan (Ziva) Popov, Kathy (Frank) Kobuszewski, Robert Schattner, Michael (Martha) Schattner, Steven (Christine) Schattner and son-in-law Miles Merluzzi. She also leaves behind 33 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, Brother David Campbell and sister-in-law Suzanne Campbell and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her daughter Kathleen Merluzzi, grandson Tyler Kobuszewski, and brothers Robert and Douglas Campbell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday March 19 in St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, 81 Jordan St., Skaneateles. Private family burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
Memorial donation in Nancy’s memory may be made to either Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital or St. Mary’s of the Lake Church.
