Millie Fontanella passed away on Christmas Eve. Coincidentally, that was her favorite night of the year. Millie has lived in Skaneateles for the past 60 years. In 1969 she began employment at SCS. Millie thoroughly enjoyed her work, and it was there that she met her lifelong friend, Betty Edmunds. Upon retirement, Millie and Vic split their time living in both Skaneateles and Florida for twenty years. At 92 years of age, Millie was very independent and chose to remain in her beloved home. She was grateful for the many friends who would often drop by to visit with her. In many ways Millie was an extended “Mother” to all. Millie is survived by her daughters, Lorraine Bates (John Martin) of Northbridge, MA and Patti (Lance) Burghardt of Skaneateles, NY. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Victor. Services are private. Millie loved her grand dog, Coogan; therefore any donations can be made to Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY 41 York St. Auburn, NY 13021.

Sweet lady...rest peacefully. Our sincere and utmost condolences to the family and our dear mom Betty. Millie is and always will be in our hearts. So many laughs were shared and a million memories. We wonder what her and Vic are doing right now? We are thinking they are laughing at all of us over a couple of Manhattans! She will be missed so much...take care of her Victor!

Millie touched our hearts in so many ways!! One feisty lady who made us laugh and appreciate how special life is! She was an inspiration to us all...I could never keep up with her! Knowing that she was with her Victor on Christmas lessened the pain of losing her. She will forever be remembered and loved!

Millie was a class act. She always looked so put together, both on the inside and out.I met her in the 80s when teaching at Skaneateles High School. Millie and her best friend Betty brightened everyone's day as they entered the school office. After that I became friends with her daughter Patti and was fortunate to know her as a friend and the entertainment at a party. Her enthusiam, sense of humor, and genuine love of life and family was an inspiration. Victor welcomed her home on her favorite night. She will be missed but never forgotten

Although I had not seen your Mother in many years, I have fond memories of her. She always made us feel welcome and part of your family. She had a beautiful smile and sense of style. I am sorry for your lost. May you find comfort in those great memories of her.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Millie passing. Millie was such a sweet person and I have so many special memories of Millie and Vic while growing up and visiting them in Skaneateles. It was always so much fun to go over to their house and see the new “jokes” they had to share and all the laughs we all had together. The best one that I remember is the apron with the “surprise” underneath.

My deepest sympathies go out to you Patti, Lance, Lorraine, Betty, family and friends who loved Millie so much. As many did, I considered Millie a member of the family and felt loved unconditionally like a part of hers. She was an amazing person who lived an inspiring life. Her passing leaves a void I can only attempt to fill with the comfort she and Vic are together and with all the wonderful memories she shared. Her comforting, “Oh, I know dear” when something didn’t go your way; her, “Oh, my baby” when hugging to say hello; her joyous yet slightly exasperated laugh in response to one of Vic’s classic jokes or props; the way, after dinner, no one would dare bring their plate into the kitchen because even at 90+ years, she wanted to take care of you, and did; her smile; her compassion; her love.

Steven, thank you. In Momma Millie's eyes, you were the grandson that she never had. She loved you. So glad that you enhanced her life.

Millie gave great guidance to me and others who came into her office at school: "Don't let the meanies get you."

I am sorry about the loss of your loved one. The bible say, Jehovah God will provide comfort when loved ones die. Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 jw.org

My ex-husband and I had always managed to stay friendly after our divorce in February 2017. But I always wanted to get back together with him, All it took was a visit to this spell casters website last December, because my dream was to start a new year with my husband, and live happily with him.. This spell caster requested a specific love spell for me and my husband, and I accepted it. And this powerful spell caster began to work his magic. And 48 hours after this spell caster worked for me, my husband called me back for us to be together again, and he was remorseful for all his wrong deeds. My spell is working because guess what: My “husband” is back and we are making preparations on how to go to court and withdraw our divorce papers ASAP. This is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you Dr Emu for your powerful spells. Words are not enough.
