Mary Lou (nee Phillips) Steigerwald, age 77, of Newtown Square, on February 17, 2016.
Born May 25, 1938 in Syracuse, NY to Lillian (nee Hellinger) and Willard Arthur Phillips.
She was a graduate of the Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Mary Lou loved everything British including drinking tea, she also enjoyed gardening, flowers and expecially reading murder mysteries.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Carl J. Steigerwald II, her loving children; C. Jay Steigerwald III, Will A. Steigerwald and Monica L. Steigerwald, her cherished grandchildren; Jessica L. Mattern and Jacob D. Mattern. Also her devoted sister, Cathy O’Donnell.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, March 21st from 9am to 10:30am at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles. With a Funeral Service to follow at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church at 11am with burial at Lake View Cemetery, Skaneateles.

My sympathy to the family. I harbor many fond rememberances of days gone by, especially at her parent's summer home on Lake Ontario.

Condolences to your family. May you receive comfort from the word of God during this time of loss. Acts 24:15 says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous. Can you imagine the joy of Martha and Mary when Jesus raised Lazarus back to life?—Read John 11:21-24, 38-44. Revelation 21:3,4 promises that one day death, mourning, and outcry will be no more. My most sincerest condolences to the family of Mary Lou. There is such a wonderful hope found at Acts 24:15 in regards to a resurrection. Also, you can have a hope of seeing Mary Lou again. A scripture that could give you hope about this promise can be found at John 5:28,29.
