I knew Millie Giess as Katherine Lawson on of my favorite teachers when I was a student at Skaneateles Central High school. Many of us could see how much she and John Giess loved each other even then!
I was so happy to learn that they had a long and loving marriage.

My deepest condolences go to Millie’s family. What a lovely lady. I had the honor of being Millie’s caregiver. I often told Millie I ( we) were part of her extended family. I will miss her laughing at my silly stores. Occasional, Millie would correct my grammar, then apologize. Always a teacher and loved her laughter. Millie loved to be pampered & found joy in her weekly colorful manicure. My heart is broken by the loss of a beautiful lady. Knowing she will now be with her beloved John makes me happy. Live on my sweet Millie.
