Joyce M Levitre, 84, passed away peacefully on March 8th with her family by her side. Joyce was known to all as very friendly, helpful and honest. She was often the moral compass to guide others in making decisions. Joyce initially started her journey as the daughter of a milk inspector (Lynn Harsh) and secretary (Irene Pounder) while living with her sister Audrey Sammon on Long Island. They were a happy and connected family who passed their experiences and values onto their own families. Joyce was then married to Richard E Levitre and had two children Michelle Levitre-Phillips and Raymond R Levitre. She was the matriarch of the family and will be deeply missed by her family (Richard Phillips and Mimi Levitre), friends, grand pets and grandsons Brian Vivenzio and Richard Phillips Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 11th from 4 to 6pm with a service at 6 at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles. Joyce will be buried in Lake View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers you may send a donation to either The American Cancer Society or Finger Lakes SPCA.

With my deepest sympathy for your loss. ,but do you know that Jehovah God will actually swallow up death forever.?Isaiah ch25:8,,,,,, the apostle John was given a vision of the time when obedient mankind will experience from from pain suffering and death.the bible ,s clear teaching remove confusion about what happens to the dead, the Scriptures plainly state that death is the last enemy that will be destroyed. ,what comfort we can draw from knowledge of the Resurrection hope!we can be glad we can be that our dead love ones who are in God,s memory will awaken from the sleep of death to enjoy all the good things he has in store for those who love him! ,Such blessing wil! ,be accomplished through God,s Kingdom. I hope that you and your family find comfort in God,s word the bible

Very sorry to learn of your love ones death you have my deepest sympathy for your loss.but why do we grow old and die? ,the bible answers that question at Genesis ch3:17-19. ,so can the dead really live again? ,what the bible says that there is going to be a resurrection Acts ch24:15. ,yes we can believe what the bible says . ,of the dead for at least three reasons. One God is the Creator of life he is the source of life. Two God has resurrected humans in the past the bible reports right brought back to life who had been dead for four days! Jhon 11:39-44 .and three God is eager to do it again so what that can mean for you and I it gives us comfort when love ones die. ,a real hope of being reunited with your dead love ones

Sorry for your loss of your loved one. Jesus Christ said at Jhon Christ 5:28&29 that the hour is coming in which all those in the grave will hear his voice and come out.all those in Jehovah,s memory will be resurrected and instructed in his ways. he bible ,s clear teaching remove confusion about what happens to the dead. The Scriptures plainly state that death is the last enemy that will be destroyed.we can draw strength and comfort from knowledge of the Resurrection hope! ,our dead love ones who are in God,s memory will awaken from the sleep of death to a paradise earth. I hope that you can find the comfort in God,s word the bible

Dear Levitre Family,
I’m so sorry for your loss, please never forget God cares for you. There is a nice hope found in the scriptures at John 5:28,29 “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice, and come out.” Jehovah God promises us a future here on earth where we can welcome back our loved ones by means of a resurrection.

Dear Levitre Familly,
We were sorry to learn of Joyce's passing. We have great memories of spending many Sunday afternoons sitting with Joyce while listening to Dick play in a jazz band.
