A lover of all thing’s cars, he enjoyed spending time restoring multiple classic cars in his custom workshop at his home and showing them at the Syracuse Nationals. He and his wife, Marie, enjoyed many years attending the Daytona 500 while staying in Florida for the winter months. He was also an avid sports fan who always had a sports channel on at home. As a lifelong CNY resident his favorite teams were of course the NY Yankees, the NY Giants, and the SU Orange basketball team. He was a kind, easygoing man with a sense of humor like no other who loved his family and friends dearly.
Gary is predeceased by his parents and his brother Edward O. LeFevre. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Marie (Brown) LeFevre, his adoring daughter and son-in-law Tara and Dennis Virginia of Baldwinsville, NY, granddaughter Kayla (Jeff) George of Freeville, NY, grandson Sean Virginia of North Syracuse, NY, sister Kay (Andy) Anderson of Union Springs, NY, brother Robert (Diane) LeFevre of Owasco, NY, sister-in-law Merle LeFevre of Owasco, NY, along with several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Honoring Gary’s wishes, there will be no calling hours and services will be private for immediate family. A memorial celebration in his honor will be held at a later date with details forthcoming.
