Douglas Pinckney, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28th at his home in Skaneateles, N.Y. He was born in Auburn, N.Y. on October 16, 1938 to the late Wesley and Dorothy Pinckney.
Doug grew up in Auburn and was an excellent athlete, lettering in four sports at Union Springs High School and “Mercury-footed Doug Pinckney” was inducted into the Union Springs Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018. He served in the National Guard then started a career in radio with WMBO – becoming the voice of the Auburn Yankees.
Upon moving to Skaneateles in 1963, Doug started a successful sales company gaining lifelong friendships along the way.
Doug was passionate about golf and his accomplishments on the course include winning numerous championships, playing in 49 Father-Son tournaments in a row, and scoring three holes-in-one. He also loved trap shooting and won a NYS Open Championship in the sport.
Doug’s laughter was infectious, filling a room and letting everyone know the party was on. He cherished his family and friends. He was a remarkable father, brother and devoted grandfather—and the Best Man at all three of his sons’ weddings.
He was a member of Skaneateles Country Club for over 50 years, and also belonged to The American Legion and numerous Rod and Gun clubs throughout the region.
Doug is survived by his three children: Doug Jr (Georgina) and Chris (Cathy) of Skaneateles, and Mike (Jessica) of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren: Doug III, Madison, Noelle, Charlie, Will, Kaeden, and Ryland; and his sisters Jeanne Pinckney of Auburn and Linda Ireland of Tucson, AZ; and former wife Kathie Dyson (John) of Skaneateles. In addition to his parents, Doug was predeceased by his brother Robert.
The family wishes to thank Jason Slottje for his great friendship and support, and Pam Sisson, Carrie, Pat. Shawnee and Brittany for their outstanding care.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In support of his grandchildren, contributions can be made to the Make a Wish Foundation Central New York and the Global Lyme Alliance.

So sad to hear of Doug's passing. He and his boys were such a large and happy part of mine, Richie's and my four daughters lives for so many years. He defined the word friend with his kindness, generosity and ever present interest in all we had going on. And it was a lot!The memories made at my kitchen table on Sat. mornings were legend and the laughs never ended. We all thank you for that friendship and wish you peace and everlasting happiness. I know of a crazy Giant fan that will be so happy to see you. Love and prayers to all your beautiful family. Mary Beth

I grew up in his neighbourhood, went to school with his sons, shared the same birthday, work in a similar business to his and always looked forward to seeing him and speaking with him. He was a hero to me and I will miss him. I’m very glad I knew him. My condolences.

I have fond memories of growing up with Mr. Pinckney and his kids. He was a big part of our lives at games, Holidays, and social gatherings. He had a great sense of humor, and always brought a smile to everyone he came in contact with. He's truly one the "best" and he will be missed. I will always cherish the good times and memories. Absolutely loved the man.
Will never forget his face and his smile.
So much fun to watch him, in my caddy days, interacting with my Dad and so many other Skan CC golfers ( Carlye Smith, George Scherrer, Don Lambert, and so many others ).
So honored when I joined the club as an adult back in 1992, to have him greet me as if I had been there forever.
Thank you Mr Pinckney.

Chris, Cathy, Will, Charlie and the rest of the family,
So very sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. We last saw him at the boy’s graduation and he was so incredibly proud. I don’t think your kids could have asked for a better grandfather. All of my kids just loved “Grandpa Pinckney”!! He was always so much fun to talk to at the lake and at the kid’s various sporting events. We are thinking of you all.

The Doctor family sends its deepest sympathy and condolences to all of Doug's family. We have so many wonderful memories of our time spent together at Skaneateles CC. Doug would always ask about Jon, Mike, and Megan, and what they were doing.
When I first came to Skaneateles Doug and I played a lot of golf together and Doug would brag about the fact that no one ever beat us. We are thankful that he is no longer suffering and has found peace. Rest in Peace my friend and God Bless you and your beautiful family.

My sincerest sympathies and best wishes to Doug, Chris, Mike and their families. I knew Doug was a great & devoted father, handsome, athletic and a fun person to be around but "mercury footed" ?; that I did not know! He was an absolute pleasure to know and spend time with. He always seemed to be "uptick". He greeted you with a smile and he left you with a smile; not a bad way to be.. I will not forget Doug Pinckney any time soon. May God bless his great family.

Doug became a great friend through work, as I'm sure he did with many others. Always cheerful and laughing, Doug was a gift to work and socialize with. Above all, Doug loved and spoke about his "boys" with great pride. The last time we met, we laughed for hours. Doug was a unique individual and a true friend. I will miss him deeply. My brother Randy and I grew up with Doug and Chris. My foster father Dr. Bob Smith and foster mother Carolanne were good friends of Doug Sr. My dad and Dough frequented all the same places and enjoyed many laughs. Nice to know they will hopefully run into each other in heaven.

I went to school with Doug, as we grew up in Aurelius. He came from a family of many Pinckney's who were always the nicest people you wanted to know. His traits of kindness and humor must have come down from them. RIP Doug......

“Mr. Pinckney” to me... Such an example of how to live and love life. I’ve been fortunate to meet all of his sons and it’s obvious that his infectious enthusiasm lives on in their personalities. When we moved to Skaneateles years ago, and AJ was growing up with Will and Charlie, he was the first grandfather I met. I thought then, and think now..
“Be like Doug, just keep trying..Be like Doug!” Our most sincere condolences.

My wish right now is that God should continue to bless Dr Emu for his good works towards the life of those people who are heart broken. My name is Michael DeBruin and I am from the USA, it's been a while since my lover's attitude changed from being the caring type she has been to me, but later turned out not to be caring at all. But not long, I later discovered that my lover was having an affair with someone else. and also she told me she doesn't need me after all we pass through then a friend told me about a spell caster. that with the spell I will get back my woman, I took his cell number then called him and also what's-app him which he reply to me and I did some sacrifices to the spell man and he bought the items for me which he used for the sacrifices and later called me that before 48 hours my love will come back to me and now we are more in love with each other than ever. you can reach him on WhatsApp +2347012841542 or reach him via mail ; [email protected] , my lover returned back and broke up with the other guy she was having a relationship with... I TESTED POSITIVE FOR HSV-2 A FEW MONTHS AGO.
At first, Yes, I was devastated thinking I have an incurable STD for life. After doing hours of research I quickly realized genital herpes is a filthy parasite that just likes to hide in your body. Yes, There’s no “medical cure” but that doesn’t mean your body can’t get rid of it. I literally flush it out of my system with the help of Doctor Azuka, A natural herbal medicine which I ordered after doing some research. And now I’m HSV-2 negative, I never believed it until my doctor finally gave me the test results and behold I was HSV-2 free. I’m so glad that I found you, Doctor Azuka. Thanks so much for your goodness I’m grateful. You can also get your help from him through his

How many testimonies do you need to read before you can contact the spiritualist to help you with the problem you are facing that makes life look choked and undeserving? Are you passing through pregnancy problems? Or maybe you want to get back your ex lover or get a big promotion in your office? I only needed to see Dr ANOKOKUDO to help me with my pregnancy problems and my help came to me. I promised if I got pregnant that I would also come online to share my experience with the world so others who are facing similar situations will get to know that there is a solution to every situation. My name is Millie Watson and I am from Arizona, USA. If you have been reading all I have said, I just want to thank Dr Anokokudo for helping me after 8 years of infertility since I got married in 2014. I gave birth to a wonderful baby boy on Dec 5 2022 and I will share this testimony of his work in my life to anywhere help is needed. You can contact Dr Anokokudo with his email [email protected] to help you with any problem you are facing and I promise you will be happy to also help others. Thank you extremely once again sir
