Our hearts go out to you all. She was always kind to our kids (and to Al when he walked over to be either an adult or less-than grownup influence with Adam!). Her influence with kids, and her strength in her fight with MS, will be remembered for a very long time. Our deepest condolences.

Tom, Adam, David and Laura, I am so so sorry about Celeste. She was such a special person . I will miss our philosophical discussions . She never wanted to focus on her disabilities but instead , was always so cheerful. A very special person she was.

Tom, Adam, David and Laura - Celeste was the absolute sweetest, most lovely, kind, fun loving ladies that I have ever know. I cannot imagine my mom (Ronnie) being the same person without her. They were soul sisters by choice. We are heartbroken and devastated, but her wonderful memory and smile will live on with all of you and the grandchildren. I have so many wonderful memories of Celeste’s visits to Chicago over the decades and stories of my mom visiting her by the lake and being with all of you. Please know that we are always here for you, and you and Celeste are deep in our hearts.

With love,
Brooke Horowitz Handwerker and family

Tom,Adam,Laura, Dave & Family- So saddened to hear of Celeste’s passing. She’ll be missed by WW and all who knew her. Tom,you did so much to insure her days were lived in full & comfort of family. She loved sitting lakeside and looking out across the water. When we go flying and look up we’ll know she’s far above the clouds. Heaven just gained a beautiful angel.
